ACCOUNTS
From March 2018 onwards the Parish Council will be publishing their Year to Date Management Accounts on a monthly basis and for 2018 they can be downloaded from this page. From 2019 onwards to download these accounts click here and select the Finance folder.
Each year the Parish Council is required to produce a set of accounts and have these audited. There are two constituents to the accounts. Firstly the Balance Sheet which shows the assets the Parish Council has, which are cash reserves (the value of fixed assets is not included in the accounts). Secondly the Income and Spend Statement for the preceding 12 months ending on the 31st March which shows where the money came from and what was done with it. These accounts are available for Reach residents to view. Download them by clicking on the appropriate link below. Residents are also entitled to see the background data, including payments and receipts and can have copies upon request. For this information please contact the Clerk to the Parish Council.
The annual audit is conducted under the provisions of the Audit Commission Act 1998, the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2003 and the Audit Commission's Code of Audit Practice. Reach residents have the opportunity to question the auditors about the accounts and the right to make objections to the accounts or any item in them. Written notice of an objection must be given to the auditor (contact information will be provided by the Clerk) with a copy sent to the Clerk to Reach Parish Council (address above). |
