Our Attractions
   
             

Below you can see what our attractions were in 2016 which will give you a flavour of what the Festival is all about . . . .

Artists - Joss Goodchild and Dafila Scott are excellent village artists and she will be joined by Liz Sadler and also Syrah Arnold with her handcrafted artworks. Melanie Goemans produces wonderful artwork and Emma Malfroy will be bringing her paintings, prints and cards.

Ceramic Sculpture - Carol Pask produces exceptional ceramics

Cookery Demonstrations - including Cheryl Brighty from Artistry in Cocoa

Dog Scurry - always fun for dogs and their owners

Food Stalls - Hoggies will be feeding us with their excellent and varied food and the local Prospect's Trust will be offering us their excellent, organically grown, produce. In addition we have Nikki's Homemade Preserves and home-reared meat will be on show from Rosie Thompson's Farm in Isleham.

Gourmet Brownie will be offering us their signature all butter brownies and the Wandering Yak Food Truck will be providing vibrant street food inspired by the incredible flavours of the Middle East.

The Dyke's End will be open for drinks and Vicky Fenton is coming along with the Spirited Mare - a horsebox that turns into a bar.

Flint knapping - the amazing Will Lord will be entertaining us

Glass - Sheila Knight will be bringing her fused glass items as will Lesley Cooke and Wind-Eye with their handcrafted glass pieces

Jewellery making - we are blessed to have both Emma Mitchell and Melinda Llewdib coming plus Ruth Lyne with her handmade silver and glass jewellery. In addition Alison Kramarchuk from Copperknit will be showing us her fine finished sculptural textile jewellery in silver and copper.

Nancy Kimberley will be showing us her silver jewellery together with Christine Tancock with her pendants and pearls and Rebecca Convey with her contemporary silver and gemstone jewellery.

Ros Norman will be exhibiting her tourmaline semi-precious stone jewellery and bracelets for children

Lace making - Charlotte Cane and Alice Lingley - talented Reach villagers

Leather - Jack Stevens from J M Belts will be showing us his leather belts

Letter Cutting - we are very please to have James Ryder coming along who cuts letters into stone and wood

Music - we have a number of musicians coming along to entertain us including the Jackson Creek Band

Potting - Villager Jon Cane will be showing us his skill in making pots as will Selena Bragg with her ceramics. In addition we have Rachel Dormor with her porcelain handmade tableware

Printing and Paper - Hannah Webb will demonstrate her printing press, Emma Mitchell will be showing us her Flatland Drygoods and Maria Merridan will be exhibiting her Coded Storm prints and cards.

Storyteller - Deborah Curtis, Fen author, will be reading to us

Wood and Willow - Alistair and Suzanne Rose will demonstrate the old fashioned ways of making items from wood, Val Curwen will show us willow structures (baskets, bird feeders, plant supports and more) and Denis Woodley will be demonstrating wood turning.

Wool, Fabric and Felt - we have Jane Finch with her embroideries, Aimee Ball with her needle felted British birds, Emma Radford with her bow clip creations and homemade hats and Charming Ribbons who make cotton reversible bags, satin ribbon bracelets and bag charms

And . . . . Lucy Baynes will be exhibiting silver keepsakes capturing finger prints, hand prints and paw prints and Jerry Cooper will be coming to show us is home produced products including sheepskin rugs

On the Village Green, we will have our specialist food stalls featuring outstanding local produce and in addition, the Dyke's End pub will be open, serving drinks.

In the Village Centre there will be delicate crafts and in the Church we will have music recitals and book readings and also on the Green we will have our Dog Scurry.
